As part of our sleep system based in components, this top pad has a 100% natural latex core wrapped in premium natural wool with an exterior finish in deep tufted 100% cotton. Just like all of our top pads, it is not attached to the bed for a greater comfort and better flexibility.

In 1924, Efraim Ljung, a Swedish chocolate maker, stayed in a small hotel in Chicago and was fascinated by the comfort of the bed. Intrigued, he used a small pocketknife to carefully open the mattress to reveal the flexible springs inside. This discovery led him to change the focus of his business, abandoning confectionery to dedicate himself to experimenting with steel springs of different strengths and elasticities. Thus DUX was born, and in 1926 Efraim began manufacturing mattresses in Malmö.
