In 1924, Efraim Ljung, a Swedish chocolate maker, stayed in a small hotel in Chicago and was fascinated by the comfort of the bed. Intrigued, he used a small pocketknife to carefully open the mattress to reveal the flexible springs inside. This discovery led him to change the focus of his business, abandoning confectionery to dedicate himself to experimenting with steel springs of different strengths and elasticities. Thus DUX was born, and in 1926 Efraim began manufacturing mattresses in Malmö.

DUX's expansion into the United States began in 1977 with the opening of a showroom and offices in New York. Ten years later, DUX introduced the DUXIANA marketing concept in Europe, Great Britain and the United States, consolidating its international presence. This strategic move allowed the brand to gain recognition and position itself as a benchmark for quality and comfort in the global mattress market.

Dedication to innovation and commitment to comfort have allowed DUX to maintain its legacy, adapting to modern times without losing sight of the principles that inspired its founder.

Nordic heritage, sustainable innovations and contemporary design. Unusual comfort.
